Hitchin: Man in his 60s 'identified' by police after fears over safety of schoolgirls

A man from Hitchin in his 60s has been identified by police in connection with fears over the safety of teenage girls.

The man has now been pinpointed in connection with incidents in Cambridge Road in Hitchin, where a male matching the same age had been approaching teenage school girls.

Herts police said: "We would like to thank everyone who came forward with information to assist us with this matter."

Officers say the investigation is 'progressing.'

A concerned parent told Nub News on condition of anonymity: "It has been a stressful time worrying about the safety of our children."
