Hitchin marks 80 years since end of World War Two in Europe

A crowd gathered for the 2-minute national silence at the war memorial outside St Mary's Church in Hitchin today.

The event followed a weekend of activities across the town including on Market Square over the weekend where military vehicles and motorbikes were on display, alongside a raffle, stalls and music.
