Hitchin outdoor pool: Not long now until it opens - see our gallery of winter work as the site gears up for swimmers once again
There's not long now to go until Hitchin's outdoor pool re-opens.
The popular outdoor swimming pool in our town is set to open on May 28 - in time for the half term school holidays.
With the forecast set fair, with plenty of warm sunny weather expected, swimmers are gearing up to use the site on Fishponds Road..
As you can see from our pictures - work has been going on through the winter to make sure the pool is looking its best - including draining and cleaning the pool floor before re-filling and installing new boilers to heat the water more efficiently.
