Anyone aged 45 and older from Hitchin and north Herts can now book their Covid vaccine.

This is because all adults in the UK aged 50 or over - as well as those who are classed as clinically vulnerable - have now been offered their first dose, three days ahead of the April 15 deadline for the nine priority groups.

Text messages aimed at 48 and 49-year-olds from local vaccination centres are set to go out soon.

The government is adamant that the programme is on track to offer every adult a first dose by late July.

England has joined Wales and Scotland in giving out its first doses of the Moderna jab, the third Covid vaccine to be administered in the UK.

You can arrange your vaccine appointment through the national booking service here

Or you can arrange the jab by ringing 119.
