Hitchin Police Station to host family-friendly Open Day this September

Hitchin residents are being invited to step behind the scenes at Hitchin Police Station later this month, with a special Open Day planned for Saturday 27 September 2025.
Running from 10am to 2pm, the family event promises plenty to see and do. Visitors will be able to try their hand at fingerprinting activities, take part in a colouring competition, explore police cars and quad bikes, and even meet the police dogs.
It's also a chance for the community to get to know their local officers in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Neighbourhood Policing Team PCSO Nat Skinner said:
"The open day is a great opportunity to have a chat to your local officers, ask questions and for children to come along and take part in activities and have a look around police vehicles.
The event is free and anyone who is interested in policing and has questions for officers should come along. Put the date in your diary and we hope to see you there."
Important information
- Entry will be via the Grove Road/Baliol Road side entrance.
- There is no parking at the police station, so visitors are advised to use nearby council car parks.
The event is completely free of charge and open to all.
