Motorists are advised to avoid Bedford Road heading into Brand Street, especially at rush hour as the left hand lane is blocked heading into the town centre.

As you can see by our pictures, delays build during peak times, and drivers are asked to find alternative ways of heading into Bancroft and the High Street.

Parking around the roadworks will be restricted until Wednesday (September 8) at the very earliest.

Affinity Water are behind the roadworks, saying: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential works."
