As you can see from you Nub News pictures the resurfacing work at Hitchin Sainsbury's is well underway.

The far end of the car park at their town centre store near to Bancroft has been upgraded and is once again open to customers driving to the store.

The works are set to be fully completed in early March, with the focus now on re-tarmcacing the rest of the car park.

A Sainsbury's spokesperson told Nub News: "The work underway at Sainsbury's Hitchin is part of a car park upgrade programme and involves resurfacing the tarmac.

"We plan to fully reopen the carpark to customers when the works are complete by early next month.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience."
