As Hitchin continues to bounce back after lockdown a new restaurant is set to open in our town centre.

A new eaterie on Bancroft called Little Monkey is set to open soon, serving Thai 'street food'.

They posted on their Facebook page: "Hi all, We're pleased to announce we will soon be opening one of the best Thai Street Food in the Heart of Hitchin!"

They added on their website: "We know you'll love our Thai food as much as we do and encourage you to try out something new."

Hitchin Nub News spoke to town centre manager Tom Hardy who hailed the resilience of so many businesses, citing outstanding quality as one of the many reasons why so many independents are starting to thrive once again.

"It's great to see so many of our independents reopen for businesses as well as new ones open," he told HNN. Stay tuned for more from tireless Hitchin advocate Tom on Friday.
