The boss of Hitchin town centre has added his backing to a major event coming soon.

Tom Hardy is looking forward to North Hertfordshire's First Pride next month.

The event will start with a Pride Market in Hitchin's Market Place from 11am - 5pm and will have stalls run by, or for, the LGBTQIA+ community.

Tom said: "We are proud to support and welcome diversity in Hitchin town centre and are excited to support the North Herts Pride Market this year.

"This event is a celebration or our rich diversity and inclusivity in the town and the local residents."

North Herts Pride are hosting North Hertfordshire's first pride in Hitchin on September 17.
