Hitchin Town FC need your help in naming their two new mini mascot canaries!

By Layth Yousif 21st Jun 2021

Hitchin Town require names for their two new 'mini' plastic canary mascots - and need YOUR help!

Who needs a giant mascot when you can have two mini mascots instead?

As part of a wider project to increased supporter engagement, the community-minded club on Fishponds Road have acquired two plastic mini toy canaries as special mascots for next season.

The club's Sascha Gustard-Brown who is responsible for supporter engagement said: "Our mini mascots [one male, one female] will also be popping up around Top Field each matchday so if you spot them, take a selfie with them and share with us on social media.

"But you'll need to have a good look for them because they won't always be easy to find.

"They will also be featured in several fun activities we have planned for our Junior Canaries and their families.

"We look forward to receiving your suggestions and hopefully, seeing you at Top Field very soon."

The only problem is that they don't have names - so here's how you can help…

All you have to do is send your suggestion(s) to the club, either via their social media channels or to [email protected] by 5pm this Friday (June 25).
