Get set for the Canary Kitchen!

Succulent fayre is the order of the day after Hitchin Town have revealed new caterers for this season at Top Field.

Hitchin are improving the lot of hungry supporters this term with the announcement that they have teamed up with the Mobile Munchies Group to provide match day food at Fishponds Road through an outlet at the ground named Canary Kitchen.

In addition to the match day staples of burgers and chips, fans can now buy 'footlong hotdogs' and 'chilli cheese' hotdogs.

The club tweeted: "We are excited to announce the launch of 'The Canary Kitchen' with @MobMunGroup at this Saturday's league opening game - see their menu for more details of what will be on offer with this great addition to Top Field."

While the Fishponds Road outfit have been busy gearing up for the start of a new campaign when they host Alvechurch on Saturday, off the field the Canaries have been just as busy.

With Mark Burke's Canaries soaring after an impressive pre-season that saw eight wins out of eight, including an excellent 2-0 victory over National League neighbours Barnet, hopes are high that the club will once again serve up success for loyal fans.

Yet, off the field, the Canaries are flying high too, with their crowdfunding appeal helping to raise more than £42k already.

The astonishing response from the Hitchin public and the wider football community has been as impressive as it has been heartening - allowing the club to use the funds for much-need ground improvements.

Tickets selling fast for this weekend's match, with sales permitted until Saturday at midday.
