There are delays in Hitchin this morning due to a collision.

Traffic is backed-up all the way along the A505 from Luton to Hitchin, with vehicles also in a logjam going the opposite way, from Waitrose on Bedford Road, heading towards Luton.

The cause of the delay to morning rushour was a collision between a black Fiat and a white lorry, opposite the Highlander Pub earlier.

Nub News reader Tony Williams said: "It's a nightmare.

"I was on the scene just after the accident happened. It looked like the small Fiat pulled out and came into contact with the lorry.

"Luckily there doesn't seem to be any injuries, thankfully."

Nub News has contacted Herts police for an update.
