Hitchin weather for the week ahead - find out if its suncream or showers

In a mixed week of weather Hitchinites have basked in glorious heatwave conditions as well as being soaked to the bone over the last seven days.

After hot temperatures summer rain returned - wth more of the latter expected over the coming days.

This week will bring you everything you can expect from an English summer: sunshine, rain and plenty of clouds.

One positive is that it can't get much worse than today, Monday, which is set to bring some heavy rain throughout the day.

Tuesday looks to be cloudy. However Wednesday is set to be the time to get the sun cream out once again with prolonged spells of sunshine expected.

Here's your Hitchin weather forecast for the next seven days:

Friday (June 25) to Sunday (June 27):

Friday will see generally average temperatures, and a band of cloud and rain throughout the day with drier, sunnier conditions to come.
