Hitchin weather: Heavy rain expected later this week

Freshening winds will bring the chance of heavy showers later this week according to the Met Office.
Weather fronts will bring rain to southern England including Hitchin and north Herts on Thursday, with a slight chance of snow.
As the front moves eastwards and meets colder air freezing rain or even a light scattering of snow will be a feature.
The government's weather forecaster has issued a warning for people to be alert to the threat of heavy rain.
