HITCHIN: Our town starts the week with another weather warning after the third storm to blow in a matter of days.

The Met office have issued another yellow weather warning for wind with Storm Franklin for our area, which will will remain in force until 1pm today, Monday (February 21).

The move comes after Storm Eunice caused widespread disruption and damage on Friday including felling a 100-year-old birch tree on Willian Road here

The nation's forecaster warns of very strong winds on Monday, which might cause disruption.

There is the possibility of damage to buildings from flying debris, along with trees/branches being brought down which could block roads and damage cars.

There may be longer journeys on road, rail and at nearby Luton Airport, with cancellations possible, and some roads and bridges may be forced to close.
