Police appeal for information after an incident in Hitchin town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Hitchin town centre.

Officers were called to reports of an incident on Queen Street at around 1045pm on Friday, March 8.

It was reported that a man was swinging a bladed weapon and attempted to cut another man. who was walking towards Asda. The victim was uninjured.

PC Sophie Cook, who is investigating, said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have either witnessed the incident take place or have spotted anything suspicious in the area.

"If you have any information, please email me via [email protected]."
