Stevenage travel to Grimsby on Saturday in a crucial clash at the bottom of League Two.

Boro will be looking to return to winning ways after a solitary point against Colchester at the Lamex in midweek.

Three points would be crucial for Alex Revell's side as they look to pull away from the relegation places against a Mariners side currently occupying a relegation spot one place below Boro.

Form

While Stevenage sit in 22nd place, they will be looking to build on an encouraging last month with only only one loss in five league games.

Grimsby come into the game in dire form. No wins in seven and the worst defensive record in the league sees them sit in 23rd position.

Their last five games have produced three losses and two draws.

Team news

No fresh injuries have emerged for Boro. Chris Lines was sidelined Tuesday but was back training this week. Tom Pett and Jack Aitchinson will be hoping to return to the starting eleven.

Danger men

Grimsby have struggled for goals this season. They have only scored 19 goals in 25 games in the league. Defender Mattie Pearson sits as the top scorer with three goals in all competitions.

Head to head

The teams have met nine times in league football.

Boro have taken the three points on five occasions. The Mariners have been the victors twice and the spoils have also been shared twice.

Alex Revell on the crunch clash

"If we perform like that (against Colchester), the effort, the hard work, the shift they all put in and the quality on top of that, then we can go there on Saturday full of confidence and belief to go and get a top result.

"We're in a good place with the squad, we'll be in Thursday and Friday and ready to put in a performance to win on Saturday"
