The Letchworth Open 2024, the largest and most anticipated celebration of creative talent in Hertfordshire, is set to return to Broadway Gallery, promising it's largest showcase yet.

Running from Wednesday 18 September to Saturday 9 November 2024, this year's exhibition will feature an impressive collection of works by 455 artists, making it the largest Open to date.

Now in its fourth year, the Letchworth Open offers a platform for a wide range of artists from across Letchworth, Hertfordshire, and neighbouring counties.

The exhibition proudly displays the work of established professionals, emerging artists, graduates, students, amateurs, and first-time artists of all ages.

As a non-selective exhibition, it features an eclectic array of artistic expressions, including painting, print, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, textiles, and video.

This year, three artists will be awarded the prestigious Letchworth Open Bursary, which includes the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition at the Broadway Gallery in 2025. In addition, recipients will benefit from a comprehensive CPD and mentoring program managed by the Gallery.

The exhibition will also present six subject-specialism prizes in Drawing, Painting, Film & Photography, Sculpture, Applied Arts, and Printmaking.

The public's favourite, the People's Choice Award, will return, giving visitors the chance to vote for their preferred artwork until Friday 25 October.

All prizes and bursaries will be announced at a special ceremony on Saturday 26th October, at 4 pm.

The judging panel for the Letchworth Open 2024 Bursary and Prizes includes the 2023 Bursary recipients—Anna Fairchild, Helena McGrath, and Luke Perkins—alongside the esteemed Broadway Gallery team.
