Hitchin councillor Sam Collins is the Lib Dems prospective parliamentary candidate at the forthcoming 2024 General Election as well as being a Hitchin councillor.

Read councillor Collins take on the Lib Dems taking the Tiverton and Honiton by-election with a whopping 29.9 per cent swing.

The massive swing in Tiverton and Honiton just confirmed what so many people in Hitchin & Harpenden already know, the Conservatives have failed this country and people have had utterly enough of being taken for granted.

The monster 30% swing in that by-election is very impressive, but as we only need a 6% swing in Hitchin & Harpenden it should be very clear to everyone round here that we can give Hitchin its first non Tory MP since Shirley Williams.
