Lilley's popular Flower Festival is back again this May Bank Holiday weekend
Lilley's popular Flower Festival is back again this May Bank Holiday weekend.
And the theme - appropriately - is This Elizabethan Reign.
It will take place at St Peter's Church in Lilley from 1030am to 430pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 30 and May 1.
The village's very talented amateur florists will once again be displaying their incredible artistic flair with arrangements filling the church from entrance to altar.
The festival has had to be cancelled for two years because of Covid.
But prior to the pandemic, it was one of the area's top holiday weekend destinations - attracting young and old and providing a wonderful day out for the whole family.
Delicious home-made cakes and scones, tea, coffee and soft drinks, together with a variety of lunches, including Ploughman's, will be on offer in the Cassel Hall, alongside numerous stalls selling everything from plants and books to White Elephant and bric-a-brac.
So why not come along and browse the stalls, enjoy some refreshment and lift your spirits with some truly inspirational floral tributes to our Monarch?
Entrance is £3.50 with children under 16 free. All proceeds will go to the church.
