Police on Friday released a statement of sad news coming from Ransom Recreation Ground in Hitchin.

Emergency services were called to a concern for welfare at Ransoms Recreational Park in Hitchin at around 7.45am on Friday, 7 March.

Sadly, a man in his 50s was found dead at the scene.

Officers alongside colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service and Herts Fire and Rescue remain at the location.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time
