Man hospitalised after stabbing - police launch appeal after knifing in Stevenage underpass
Witness appeal after incident in Stevenage
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in Stevenage.
At around 5pm on Sunday (1 October) it was reported that two men were involved in an altercation in an underpass between Ripon Road and Canterbury Way.
A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries believed to be stab wounds to the top of the thigh, though not deemed to be life changing.
Detective Constable Nick Kent said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact me.
"Additionally, if you have CCTV of the area at the time of the incident, please review this to see if it has vital information that could support our investigation."
Detective Inspector Nicholas Rega added: "I understand this incident will worry residents, but the men involved were thought to be known to each other and our investigation is progressing.
"We are doing all we can to trace the suspect in connection to this incident, so any information that you feel is useful please report this to us."
