Pop-rock favourites McFly will headline a major outdoor concert at Hitchin Priory next summer, with Scouting For Girls and The Hoosiers also joining the line-up.
The BRIT Award-winning band will perform in the historic grounds of Hitchin Priory on Thursday 29 July 2027, in the first major announcement for next year's Hitchin Live at the Priory festival.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday 6 November, with organisers promising another summer of live music following the festival's successful debut in 2026.
The McFly concert will be an additional date ahead of the festival's main weekend in August, with further headline acts and artists set to be revealed in the coming months.
Formed in 2003, McFly have become one of Britain's most successful pop-rock bands, with seven number one singles, seven Top 10 albums and more than 10 million record sales.
The four-piece, comprising Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd, burst onto the music scene with their debut single Five Colours In Her Hair and went on to win a BRIT Award for Best British Pop.
Their debut album also made chart history when they became the youngest band to enter the UK album chart at number one, breaking a record previously held by The Beatles.
The band are currently working on their eighth studio album and remain a major live attraction.
Following two sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena to celebrate their 21st anniversary, McFly joined forces with Busted for a huge arena tour in 2025, selling more than 325,000 tickets.
Two other well-known British bands will join McFly on the Hitchin stage.
Scouting For Girls, best known for hits including She's So Lovely, Elvis Ain't Dead and Heartbeat, will bring their collection of indie-pop anthems to the Priory grounds.
They will be joined by The Hoosiers, whose best-known songs include Worried About Ray, Goodbye Mr A and Choices.
The three-band line-up promises an evening of nostalgic hits and singalong favourites in one of Hitchin's most recognisable settings.
The announcement follows the inaugural Hitchin Live at the Priory festival in summer 2026, which featured performances from The Libertines and Ministry of Sound Classical.
The event attracted major names to the town and established the Priory grounds as a venue for large-scale outdoor concerts.
Organisers say the festival, which has a weekend capacity of close to 40,000 people, will return for its second year with more internationally recognised artists, festival-scale production and street food vendors.
Blake McCaskill of organisers Supermodified said: "We're delighted to be bringing Hitchin Live at the Priory back for its second year.
"The first year gave us a fantastic foundation to build on, and we're looking forward to welcoming audiences back to this brilliant setting for another summer of live music.
"McFly are a hugely exciting first announcement, with the kind of catalogue and live energy that make for a great outdoor show.
"We can't wait to share more of what we have planned for 2027."
Tickets for McFly, Scouting For Girls and The Hoosiers at Hitchin Priory on Thursday 29 July 2027 go on sale at 10am on Friday 6 November.
