Met Office yellow warning for snow and ice across Hitchin and north Herts

A new weather warning for snow and ice across north Herts and Hitchin has been issued.
The yellow warning - which indicates a small chance of disruption to travel and power supplies, runs from 10am on Wednesday, 30 December until 6am on New Year's Eve.
Current forecasts indicate that the cold weather, with temperatures dropping to freezing or below at night, will continue right through next weekend in and around Hitchin.
