The team behind a new Hitchin eatery have celebrated their first week in business.

The Shack opened for the first time on Tuesday 6 August after months of work at the Sun Street location.

Taking to social media, the team said: "Well, what a week, 32 Sun Street!

"We can't lie — opening up in Hitchin had us feeling both excited and a bit nervous with so many great food spots in town, we knew this was a big move.

"But hearing how much you've all enjoyed our food during opening week made it totally worth it!

"The Shack honestly wouldn't be what it is without all you guys and the insanely talented crew we've built across all our locations — you guys are the reason we get to do what we love week in, week out.

"What's next? We promise to continue serving up good hearty food and coming up with those new and exciting recipes that have you questioning whether we've lost the plot or not!

"But seriously, a huge thank you to everyone who dined in or grabbed a takeaway at any of our branches — You made our week!"

The Shack already has locations in Biggleswade and Barton.
