It's exciting times for Rock Gym in Hitchin this month with the opening on their brand new 'Move Lab' Ghost Barn.

The Rock team at Ghost Barn, Hoo Farm, have been working hard to get the new training space ready for their gym members and it will see the introduction of three new instructors bringing new sessions to their already impressive timetable after it opened earlier this week.

Jayde, Lucie and Anna will be bringing yoga, mobility, core and mindfulness sessions from Tuesday, 9 May

Move Yoga is a hybrid mix of traditional yoga and mobility drills

Rock's Move Core involves deep core muscle training with yoga and mobility included

Lucie

These sessions will involve Mobility for Life to help you move better in life and do the simple things in life like doing up your shoes and completing household tasks with ease

Lifters, runners, cyclists and sports people will see Mobility for Sport benefits where our instructors will show you to get the most from your body to improve your performance

Jayde brings a functional approach to yoga where the focus is on how your body feels during the sessions over how it looks. Jayde has been teaching yoga since 2019 and she will be going back to basics incorporating breathing and mobilising techniques, sport-specific dynamic sequences and static poses, as well as some relaxation

Anna

Anna is Rock's new Core Exercise Specialist and has been in the industry for over 20 years. Her new Move Core session will focus on mat based core and pelvic floor strengthening exercises, alongside full body mobility and dynamic yoga style flows. Expect to feel stronger, more stable in your deep core, see improvements in your posture and mobility and reduce any niggling back aches and pelvic floor issues

Yogi Lucie focuses on movement, mobility and breathwork, inspired by traditional yoga flows to help the body and mind undo stress, tension and tightness picked up during our day to day lives. She is passionate about desk workers moving their bodies with simple, but effective flows, CARs (controlled articular rotations) and long stretches. Lucie can also help athletes with their mobility and deeper breathing for improved performance and reduced injury risk
