Witness appeal following road traffic collision in Stevenage

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage following a serious road traffic collision in Stevenage.

At around 440am today, Wednesday (May 11) a black Suzuki Swift and a male pedestrian were in collision on North Road, near to the Lister Hospital.

Officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended with the pedestrian, a man in his 40s, taken to hospital in a serious condition.

The driver remained at the scene to assist officers.

Sergeant Craig Wheeler, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "We are investigating the circumstances of this incident and I'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision or has dash cam footage of it or events leading up to it.
