The North Herts Rugby and Netball festival returns this Saturday, (August 12) at Hitchin Rugby Club.

This year's event will see organisers teaming up with Hitchin Street Food Monthly to bring you some of the best local street food and mobile bars.

Tireless organiser Adam Howard told Nub News: "This is a totally free entry event where we will also be raising money for a cause close to our hearts, the Alzheimers Society.

"With huge thanks to local sponsors Mason Navarro Pledge who return as our lead sponsor for the third year running.

"Cawsburger who sponsor the men's rugby tournament and Raymond James who will sponsor the ladies rugby tournament.

"The event will also showcase North Herts rugby in both men's rugby and ladies rugby on show from 12pm - 430pm.

"In addition, working with another two North Herts companies, Proud2Presents and DiscoNyts, we will have the amazing Indi Forde playing for us from 730pm - 915pm."

Huge rugby and sports fan Adam also adds that England v Wales will be shown at 530pm in the clubhouse as the England team warm up for the Rugby World Cup which takes place in October this year.

Hitchin Nub News will be at the eagerly-awaited event. See our Facebook page for live videos from Old Hale Way on Saturday.
