Police appeal for witnesses after man stabbed in Hitchin

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed following an altercation in Hitchin late on Friday night.
The incident happened at around 11.50pm on 26 June and involved three men.
According to Hertfordshire Police, the altercation began in the car park of Hitchin Football Club before continuing into Fishponds Road and then Butts Close.
The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered stab wounds and remains in hospital.
Detective Sergeant Samantha Casey, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was at the Football Club or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch. Any information you have could help us progress this investigation."
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have captured dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage from the area around the time of the assault.
