The incident happened on Saturday, August 27, when, at around 2pm, a man walked into Pirton post office in High Street and threatened a member of staff with what is believed to be handgun, before leaving with some cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 30s and he was wearing a black cap, blue jeans and a black Adidas top.

It is believed he got into a blue Vauxhall Mervia.

Detective Inspector Ben Smith said: "We are continuing with our investigations and are trying to locate the suspect.
