Police confirm man found injured in Hitchin has sadly died

Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed that a man who was found injured in Hitchin earlier this week has sadly passed away in hospital.

The man, who was discovered with serious injuries on Monday evening (1 September), died on Tuesday evening (2 September). His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A police spokesperson said:

"Our thoughts are with the man's family at this incredibly difficult time. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances around how he came to be injured. We continue to appeal for anyone with information to please come forward."

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen anything, or who has dash cam footage from the area at the time, to get in touch.
