Information sought following indecent exposure in Hitchin

Police are appealing for witnesses and information as part of ongoing enquiries into an indecent exposure in Hitchin.

The incident occurred near St Mary's churchyard, at around 1020pm on Friday, February 3.

It was reported that two women were walking towards St Mary's car park, when they passed a male who was indecently exposing himself.

The male is described as a tall man, dressed in dark clothing, with tan worker style boots.

PC Manuela Ungureanu, who is investigating, said: "Understandably the victims are distraught by the incident.

"Due to the time of day, they were unable to get a further description of the male, but we are doing all we can to trace him and are asking anyone who thinks they may be able to assist us to please come forward.

"Do you recall seeing anyone acting suspiciously in the area on the night of the incident? Any information at all could greatly assist our enquiries."
