Detectives in Stevenage are appealing for witnesses and information after a fight broke out between a group of young males in the town centre, on Friday, November 25.

The incident happened at around 4pm and is believed to have started in the vicinity of JD Sports and finished in a fight outside Poundland.

Witness reports so far suggest that an argument started within the group, which resulted in the fight and a 17 year old boy receiving an injury to his leg.

Investigating officer Detective Holly Dawson said: "We need to get to the bottom of what exactly has happened and unfortunately the fight itself was not captured on CCTV, so we are hoping that someone may have filmed the incident or saw it unfold.

"The town centre was very busy at the time, so we are urging anyone with any information to get in contact. If you would feel more comfortable remaining anonymous, you can share information with Crimestoppers via their anonymous reporting system.

"This information is then shared with us, but the source will never be identified to us."

Anyone with information is asked to please email DC Holly Dawson at [email protected] quoting crime reference 41/95779/22.
