Road Policing officers are appealing for dash cam, witnesses and information after a cyclist received serious injuries in Hitchin this morning (Sunday 29 June).

A cyclist – believed to be aged in his 60s - was found at 10am this morning in Preston Road, Gosmore.

"The cyclist has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries," explained Sergeant Luke Jenkins from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit. "We are trying to establish how the cyclist received his injuries. We are keen to speak to any drivers or road users who saw the man or who may have some dashcam footage of what happened.

"Do you have any further information to assist the investigation? If you have dash cam footage in relation to the collision, please upload this at: herts.police.uk/dashcamupload
