Detectives investigating a burglary in Letchworth have released images of some of the items that were stolen, in a bid to trace them and return them to their rightful owner.

At some point between 9am on Monday 23 May and 2pm on Sunday 29 May, a property in Spring Road was broken in to.

The offender(s) gained access by causing extensive damage to the rear entrance of the property, before conducting an untidy search. A large quantity of jewellery was stolen (pictured).

Detective Constable Nicole House, who is investigating, said: "Some of these pieces are of high sentimental value to the victim, and we would like nothing more than to reunite them with their stolen property.

"We are releasing pictures of some of the distinctive items in the hope that someone may recognise them – perhaps you have seen them listed online, or been offered them for sale?

"Alternatively, if you have any information about the burglary or believe that you may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the dates specified, please get in contact. Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to progressing our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to please email DC House directly at [email protected]
