North Herts Police has released the CCTV image of two women it would like to identify following a theft from a person in Hitchin.

A person had their phone and bank card taken from their bag while in Bancroft around 1.30pm on Monday 23 September.

The bank card was later used in several outlets in the town before it was cancelled.

The women in the photo were thought to be in the area around the time of the incident and may be able to assist with enquiries.

"If you recognise them, or if this is you, please contact PCSO Cynthia Combe by email via [email protected]," a force statement said.

"You can also report information by quoting crime reference 41/79588/24."
