Port Vale 0-0 Stevenage PLAYER RATINGS: Former Boro midfielder gets low marks

Stevenage played out a lively 0-0 draw with Port Vale at Vale Park on Tuesday night.

A game of much promise was let down by a lack of quality in the final third from both teams.

Overall, Alex Revell will be happy with a point away from home but disappointed that his side couldn't capitalise from Port Vales' wastefulness in front of goal.

Read on to see which players impressed Hitchin Nub News - and which ones didn't

Stevenage

Jamie Cumming: 5.5 - Not many saves to make, very alert to come off his goal line, commanded his backline well

Romeao Hutton: 6 - Impressive at times, looked to drive forward when in possession and kept Montano relatively quiet

Terrence Vancooten: 6 - Another strong performance from the young defender, no faults

Scott Cuthbert: 6.5 - Captain's performance, led his line excellently and made some key recovery tackles and blocks

Elliot Osborne: 5.5 - Failed to make much of an impact, signs of promise but not much reward

Chris Lines: 5.5 - Another unusually quiet performance from the midfielder

Tom Pett: 6.5 - Quietly impressive game, ever consistent since his move to centre midfield
