A pub near Hitchin is refusing to let Covid upset mum's and loving families by keeping its promise to host its own version of 'Mother's Day'.

The Covid crisis has forced the cancellation of numerous events in our area since March, but, The Fox at Willian, near Hitchin, is determined to fulfil its vow of re-scheduling Mother's Day bookings for this weekend.

With this year's Mother's Day, on Sunday, March 22, effectively cancelled due to the impending lockdown, The Fox, in the stunning village of Willian, promised to honour all its bookings that had to be cancelled at the time.

While the pandemic took hold, those at the Fox refused to forget their commitment to mum's in our area, earmarking this coming Sunday for their own version of Mother's Day.

"We promised everyone who had booked Mother's Day earlier in the year that we would re-schedule," the Fox said.

"We didn't think it would take quite so long, but we made a promise and, so, true to our word, Sunday, October 18, will be treated as the reschedules big day.

"Treat mum or that special lady in your life to breakfast or a Sunday roast here at the Fox this Sunday.

"For any mum that has had to go through homeschooling, or grandma's that have swooped in for childcare, or not been able to see kids and grandkids, getting together is more treasured than ever - and we will have a special treat for mum and you get to say thank you with a delicious meal or overnight stay."

To book call the Fox on 01462 480233 or email [email protected]
