Stevenage man charged with attempted murder

A 33-year-old man from Stevenage has been charged with attempted murder following an attack on a 69-year-old man.

The charge comes after an incident near the underpass by Asda, which happened on Sunday evening (28 July).

Lewis Kendrick of Cuttys Lane has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article in a public place and breaching a restraining order.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Hatfield Remand Court this morning (Tuesday 20 July).

The victim continues to recover in hospital and is being treated for knife inflicted wounds.
