Teen taken to hospital after serious collision on Cambridge Road, Hitchin

Police and ambulance crews rushed to Cambridge Road in Hitchin yesterday morning (Tuesday 23 September) following a serious road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called at 8.22am after reports of a crash involving a Ford Focus and a pedestrian.

A 13-year-old boy was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers remained at the location to investigate the circumstances and to help manage traffic.

Hertfordshire Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact them via the force's website or by calling 101, quoting incident reference number.
