A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in Hitchin and is currently in police custody while investigations continue.

On Saturday (14 November) at around 3pm, three teenage boys were in Purwell Meadows when they have been approached by four teenagers wearing masks.

One has showed them a knife and demanded that two of the boys hand over their coats, which they did. The group then left with the coats.

One was a Canada Goose jacket and the second was a black Trapstar jacket.

The Canada Goose jacket has been recovered, however the second jacket has not yet been located.

Neither victim was physically hurt.

Detective Constable Paul Fletcher, from the North Herts Local Crime Unit, said: "If you have any information about the identities of the offenders or where the missing black Trapstar jacket is, please get in touch."
