Traffic delays on your drive into Hitchin town centre? Here's why

HITCHIN: Did you experience delays on your journey into Hitchin town centre today? [Tuesday, January 4]
The reason for heavy traffic on Bedford Road and Fishponds Road is because of roadworks.
A three way traffic light system has been put in place as workmen dig up the pavement next to Butts Close.
Delays are expected all day.
Hitchin Nub News has contacted Herts County Council for more information as to why the roadworks are taking place, and when they are likely to be completed.
