Urgent repairs are set to close the Stevenage via Alexandra Palace train line following a landslip - with disruption expected over the coming days and into the weekend.

The line towards Stevenage via Hertford North will be blocked later tonight, Thursday (February 15), tomorrow, Friday (February 16), as well as well as Saturday, February 17, while the urgent repairs are carried out.

The line will be closed between 1230am and 5am on both nights.

Great Northern have said their control teams are working to ensure all affected trains are identified and aim to update journey planners as soon as possible to reflect any changes.

Commuters are being told to check their journeys before travelling.
