Yellow weather warnings have been issued for Hitchin, north Herts and surrounding areas ahead of the impending arrival of Storm Christoph.

The Met Office is forecasting the weather front will bring heavy rain in the coming days.

The warnings will be in place from midnight Wednesday, until midday Thursday with potential flooding set to occur in our area.

The UK's forecaster has indicated the storm may cause damage to homes and businesses as well as causing longer journey times for bus and train services, while low lying roads are expected to be waterlogged during the coming deluge - with possible interruption to power supplies.
