Three lockdowns over the last 12 months have brought many changes, none more so than on 'High Streets' up and down the country, including Hitchin.

Café Rouge, a previous fixture in Hitchin town centre, permanently closed last summer after owners of the high street chain fell into administration.

However, work has been taking place at the site over the last few week.

But what will replace Cafe Rouge?

Nub News contacted Hitchin town centre boss Tom Hardy to get the lowdown on the site. We're still waiting to hear back but once we do, we'll let you know.

In the meantime, if you have an idea of what is happening to the site, do let us know.
