What's On at North Herts Museum: Hitchin artist Kim Raymont showcases her iconic work

By Layth Yousif 7th Aug 2020

Hitchin Nub News is a big fan of the new North Herts Museum on Brand Street.

Here's their latest exhibition featuring Hitchin resident Kim Raymont.

Inkscape: Letterpress and Linocuts by Kimprints - to August 30

Using the traditional printmaking techniques of linocut and letterpress, these prints are made using the reduction technique in several layers.

Influenced by railway posters and a love of typography, Kim has designed the Hitchin prints to illustrate her much loved home town, and added to the range with prints of locations around the world.

Hitchin resident Kim Raymont studied fine art at Exeter, and is currently taking a masters in Illustration and Book Arts at Cambridge School of Art.

Kim will be teaching a printmaking workshop at the museum as part of the exhibition.

This exhibition is in The Arches, part of the Terrace Gallery.
