Why use a travel agent? Liz Meineck from Luxury Holidays and Honeymoons.com explains why they've made a comeback since the pandemic
Why use a travel agent. By Liz Meineck at luxuryholidaysandhoneymoons.com
Over the years, many people have stopped using travel agents and started booking directly with tour operators online, writes Liz Meineck
But since the pandemic, they've really made a comeback.
The turbulence and uncertainty caused travellers to think twice about booking independently and made many people go back to booking through a travel agent, as they wanted the peace of mind that brings.
Since then, there have been many disruptions around the world, including strikes, natural disasters, system failures and many more.
We really don't know what's around the corner and if something does go wrong on your holiday, a good travel agent will go to bat for you - no matter who is at fault - and try to get your holiday back on track.
So, other than peace of mind, what are the benefits of using a travel agent?
Well, for one, convenience. Your time is valuable and you shouldn't have to spend it searching for the right trip.
A travel agent can do that for you. They can match you with the holiday you actually want, not the one that you saw on television.
There is a difference between travel inspiration and actual travel desires. Destinations may look good on TV but not actually be ideal for you personally. Travel agents can help you define what it is you want to get out of a holiday.
There are a lot of value-adds that you may not even know about that can be added by a travel agent.
Ever wonder why the couple in the cabin next to yours got champagne and you didn't? They probably used a travel agent.
And one thing we all have one thing in common: We are passionate about sharing the world with you. Take advantage of our services.
And if you're in the mood to do just that, here's an example of the sort of deal I can find for you…
