Young Baker AJ Shares Half-Term Treats with Care Home Residents at Milford Lodge and Football Teammates

Seven-year-old AJ Kutowaroo has been spreading smiles across Hitchin this half term by sharing his homemade bakes with both local care home residents and his football teammates.
AJ, a Year 3 pupil at Samuel Lucas School, spent part of his school holiday creating a selection of spooky-themed chocolate-covered strawberries and cake pops. Rather than keeping the treats to himself, he took them along to Milford Lodge Care Home, where residents were delighted to receive and enjoy his creations.
Baking has become one of AJ's favourite hobbies, and sharing what he makes is just as important to him as creating the treats themselves. The care home holds a special place in his heart, as he has been visiting regularly since he was a baby and has built friendships with many of the residents over the years.
As a proud member of the Samuel Lucas Student Council, AJ is passionate about making a positive contribution to his local community.
"I like to represent my school and show how I can make a little difference in the town where I live," said AJ.
His generosity did not stop there. Last week, AJ also baked a batch of cake pops for his teammates at Hitchin FC Comets, sharing them out as a well-earned post-match victory treat following a successful game.
Family, friends, residents, care staff and teammates alike have all enjoyed AJ's thoughtful baking efforts, proving that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. Whether he's supporting his community, representing his school, or celebrating with his football team, AJ is showing that you're never too young to make a difference.
