Zizzi in Hitchin is welcoming the colder months with a new autumn and winter menu – and diners will have the chance to claim selected main courses for £1.

The Italian restaurant chain will introduce five new seasonal dishes and two drinks from Tuesday, September 15.

To mark the launch, members of Zizzi's free Zillionaires loyalty club can purchase one main course for £1 when ordering another adult main.

The deal will be available all day from Monday to Friday and on Sundays from 5pm until Thursday, September 24. It will not be available on Saturdays.

Customers can choose from dishes including Rustica pizzas, fresh pasta and the new Chicken Cacciatore as part of the promotion.

New additions to the menu include the Sticky Pig Fonduta starter, inspired by Zizzi's Sticky Pig Rustica pizza, as well as Chicken Cacciatore and a Five Cheese Gnocchi side.

Two new desserts are also being introduced: Salted Caramel Bread and Butter Pudding and Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

The drinks menu will feature a Classic Mojito and an alcohol-free Lime and Mint Cooler, while Zizzi is also introducing coffee made using 100 per cent Arabica beans.

A number of dishes will be available exclusively for delivery or takeaway, including Pepperoni and Hot Honey Rustica, Smoked Paprika Gnocchi and Double Cookie Dough.

New Hot Honey, Pesto Mayo and Crispy Chilli Mayo dips will also join the restaurant's out-of-restaurant menu.

Diners must join the Zillionaires loyalty scheme to access the £1 main course offer. Full details, bookings and the new menu are available through the Zizzi website and app.
