Stevenage set an unwanted club record as they failed to find the net for a fifth successive game as they drew 0-0 at Harrogate Town on Tuesday evening.

The good news was that they grabbed a point to halt a run of three defeats in a row.

Alex Revell's side had the better chances, but failed to test home goalkeeper James Belshaw as Elliot List, Marcus Dinanga and Scott Cuthbert all headed wide.

In a poor game neither shotstopper had a save to make during the first half.

List directed a header across the face of goal from five yards after Dinanga's cross from the left.

Following the half-time interval, Dinanga fired over when well placed, while Harrogate midfielder Connor Kirby tested Boro keeper Jamie Cumming on 66 minutes.

The Chelsea loanee then saved well from Harrogate replacement Brendan Kiernan followed by Tom Walker's follow-up effort for Simon Weaver's team, before Cuthbert narrowly headed wide as the clock ticked down.

Stevenage remain two places above the relegation trapdoor in 21st position.
